Privacy
Effective date: 4 October 2026. This site is run by BuildZim, which is responsible for your data here. Contact: snyamidzi@gmail.com.
What stays on your device
The free estimate runs in your browser. Your house details, chosen currency, any rates you edit and your licence key are saved in your browser's local storage so they are there next time. We can't see them. Clear your browser's site data to remove them.
No accounts and no tracking
There are no logins or user accounts. We don't use analytics, advertising cookies, tracking pixels or any other trackers.
What is sent to our server
When you unlock or update the full plan, or download the template or guide, your browser sends your house details, any rate edits and your licence key to our server function. The server checks the licence key with Gumroad's licence API and then calculates your plan. We use this information only for that, and we don't keep it in a database. Our host keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and reliability, for a limited period under its own policies.
Payments
Gumroad processes your payment and sends your receipt and licence key. Gumroad is the merchant of record: it handles your payment and card details, and charges any VAT or sales tax due in your country. We never see your card details. Gumroad's own privacy policy covers the data it collects at checkout.
Other services
- Hosting: Netlify, Inc. serves the website and runs the server function.
- Exchange rates: your browser fetches rates from open.er-api.com. That service sees your IP address. No personal data is sent.
- Licence checks: our server sends your licence key to Gumroad to confirm it is valid.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email snyamidzi@gmail.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
If we change how the site handles data (for example, if we ever add analytics), we will update this page and its effective date first.
