What the planner is

The BuildZim Cost Planner gives budget estimates for building houses in Zimbabwe. It uses published prices and stated estimating assumptions. Estimates are guidance only. They are not a professional quotation, a valuation or professional advice for a specific site. They don't replace drawings by a registered professional, an engineer's design, a contractor's quotation or your council's approval. Prices in Zimbabwe change quickly. Check current local prices and get written quotes before you commit money.

The full plan

The full building plan is digital content bought through Gumroad, for a one-off price of US$10.99, plus any VAT or sales tax Gumroad adds for your country at checkout. Prices shown on the site in other currencies are approximate, at the day's exchange rate. Gumroad is the merchant of record for the sale. The price includes: your personalised full plan on this site; your plan as an Excel workbook, CSV and printable PDF; the premium Excel template BuildZim_Cost_Planner.xlsx; and the guide "Building a House in Zimbabwe from the Diaspora" (PDF). The template and guide download from the full plan after your licence key is checked. You get a licence key for your personal use, which you can activate on up to 10 devices. You may share exports (Excel, CSV, PDF) with your family, builder or adviser for your own project. Don't resell the plan or share your key publicly.

Our responsibility

We take reasonable care to keep the prices and calculations accurate and to label every assumption. We are not responsible for decisions you make, or money you send, based on an estimate, nor for the work of builders, suppliers or anyone managing a build for you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available but can't guarantee it. The free estimate works offline. The full plan needs a connection.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any mandatory consumer rights where you live.
